And to commemorate it, National Gaming Day at YOUR Library is featuring a FROGGER HIGH SCORE TOURNAMENT! Let the attendees at your event try their hand at something OLD but AWESOME and see if they can make it into the top 10 of your building, your library system, or even THE ENTIRE KNOWN INHABITED UNIVERSE.

First, you need some copy of the Arcade Classic Frogger. Frogger has been built into many different Frogger sequels over the years, if you're aware of one, you can add it to GAMES CONTAINING FROGGER. There is also a Frogger for Xbox and Frogger Returns for Playstation Network or Wii.

Or, if you're hardcore, you can run the original frogger ROM on MAME.

Barring those, there is also Happy Hopper which is a pretty authentic web version with traditional scoring. That will do in a pinch!

Then, you need a gtsystem account to enter your scores. To learn how to enter your scores, watch THIS VIDEO!

If you don't already have a gtsystem site, just email us at gtsystem@aadl.org and let us know what you'd like your site code to be (like AADL or DPL or whatever abbreviation you tend to use) and the full name of your library or library system, and we'll mail you a moderator login for your new site. Let us know if you're not sure if you have a gtsystem site too, and we'll get you set up.
